The Avenue to Fox Hill

2014
Pencil on paper and wall, with collage

The Avenue to Fox Hill was made in response to two Pissaro paintings of street scenes in South London: ‘The Avenue, Sydenham’ 1871 and  ‘Fox Hill, Upper Norwood’ 1870. Inspired by a walk and series of photographs made between the two sites in 2014, it encompasses Crystal Palace Park, multiple vanishing points, architectural patterns and details. It was installed as part of a one day event ‘Just for the Day’ at The National Gallery.
